WSFEE partnered with the McClure Parent Council last spring and funded the purchase of 65 Polar A370 Fitness Tracker wristbands, which allowed the McClure Physical Education department to replace the existing chest strap heart rate monitors. With the new wristbands 6th, 7th, and 8th graders can monitor their heart rate during various activities and track their fitness progress via Bluetooth technology. This technology enhancement will allow students to see their fitness improvement over their three years at McClure.

“We believe this program will enable us to encourage all students, 6th through 8th, to continue to have a healthy life style as they grow older and generate a greater sense of student ownership.”
